What
Is Trusted Servant?
Becoming Ministers, Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards,
also known asTrusted Servants
TRUSTED SERVANTS DESCRIBED.
"1. Recognition of Trusted Servants. In addition
to its organizational Trusted Servants, be they designated officers or
otherwise, congregations may have specialized Trusted Servants that could
include those who devote more or their own time to, and help coordinate
and facilitate the activities of other members of the congregations, in
spiritual healing, ministry and earth stewardship."
"2. Ideals of Caring, Sharing and Service. All
Trusted Servants shall render the utmost respect for the integrity of all
individuals, whether or not human, and support the holistic integration
of all human communities within the natural ecological ecosystems of the
planet, solar system, galaxy and universe. They, along with all members
of the congregation, are encouraged to dispel, through both reasoned and
intuitive knowledge, the ignorance that breeds fear, needless cravings,
anger, rage, hatred, starvation, suffering, illness, abuse, cruelty, neglect,
guilt, disease and wasting of life. They are all encouraged to reach for
an understanding of the individual integrity protected and preserved but
still within the ecological web of Gaiactic, Celestial, Galactic and Universal
relationships.
ORDAINED MINISTERS
"1. Duties. The Assembly may ordain ministers who
shall be affiliated with a member congregation and may be employed by,
with or through congregations to assist, coordinate and facilitate ritual,
ceremonial and religious activities at the pleasure of any participating
congregation or congregations including private or personal activities
for their members."
PRACTITIONERS OF SPIRITUAL HEALING
"1. Duties. The Assembly may certify Practitioners
of Spiritual Healing who shall be affiliated with a member congregation
and may be employed by, with or through congregations to assist, coordinate
and facilitate any healing activities at the pleasure of any participating
congregation or congregations or their members."
DIPLOMATS OF EARTH STEWARDSHIP
"1. Duties. The Assembly may appoint Diplomats
of Earth Stewardship who shall be affiliated with a member congregation
and may be employed by, with or through congregations to assist, coordinate
and facilitate any Earth Stewardship activities at the pleasure of any
participating congregation or congregations or their members."
HOW TRUSTED
SERVANTS ARE ORDAINED, CERTIFIED
OR APPOINTED:
Ordination / Certification / Appointment.
"Ministers wishing to be ordained (or Spiritual Healers who wish to be
certified or Diplomats of Earth Stewardship who wish to be appointed) by
the assembly shall need the recommendation of a member congregation, maintain
good moral character, shall agree to maintain membership in the Convocation
of Ministers and abide by the Standards of Honest and Fair Practices of
the Assembly for all specialized Trusted Servants and seek to practice
the ideals of caring, sharing and service."
To become ordained as a Minister,
or appointed as a Diplomat of Earth Stewardship or
a Certified Spiritual Healer, besides being nominated by
a member congregation, the candidate must sign a pledge of Honest and Fair
practices. Each application has this pledge upon it and no certificate
will issue until it is signed. The pledge generally requires the person
to act in an honest, informed, responsible and professional manner, refraining
from bringing harm to anyone through his or her actions or omissions and
bringing ill repute to the SHES assembly or to the profession he or she
has chosen as a SHES calling. It requires the person to cooperate with
the Shes in any investigation of complaints of acts or omissions that violate
the pledge and makes specific reference to refraining from the illegal
sale or use of drugs or intemperate use of alcoholic or controlled substances
that would affect the practice of his or her calling. A copy of the application
to be a trusted servant is available from the International Assembly for
more specific information.
